red hills & white cows... Helpful Links

The bounty of Bourgogne spreads across the four departments of Saône et Loire, Nièvre, Cote d'Or and Yonne. Famous centuries old vineyards paint the hills red and green, rolling pastures alive with the renown white Charolais cattle, a navigable system of winding canals flanked by cycle and walking paths, intricately patterned tiled roofs, medieval chateaus and dense oak forests.

There's so much to take in, we've collected a few links we hope you'll find useful in planning your trip. Some are fairly well travelled and perhaps you've been to them already. Others have a bit more special interest but paint a wonderful picture of the experience that awaits you (one of our favourites is the story of Thomas Jefferson's visit to the wine region — see '13 footsteps').
